what if for Superman’s redemption he has an ayauscha like trip? You play as the good Superman fighting many other versions of him in a war world state with the winner making it back to tricycle reality . So it’s multiple dimensions but references to all the iterations thus respecting fans of all . I think of snakeway in dragon ball z meets everything everywhere all at once . The Superman in injustice 2 essentially a nuke or necessary evil a la watchmen with Batman knowing the real Superman can rise above just loving Lois and love all of humanity with inception like flashbacks of each Superman with their Lois and or their child that no longer gets the chance to exist . I truthfully kind of cringe when a singular woman character dies to propel character development because then it becomes is the characters love of humanity conditional? If Lois and child die not of his hands but from a drunk driver does he collectively punish humanity for the actions of 1? I have friends who have had still born births I’ve seen how it’s permanently changed them. I think we show Superman a human being by having Superman fight the other Superman where their grief of their Lois made them lose their mind. To me it’s an opportunity to say a lot about mental health . Superman an alien who doesn’t have a therapist ( lol ) let’s make this a way he gets his soul back . Nosferatu in theaters now is a good inspiration. Essentially make it so in every time line he was destined to lose his mind in a sick world addicted to destruction. The Neo like Superman being the Superman that never gives up on humanity

to a parents relationship to a child . Neo Superman is the dad that accepts the systems that created joker and seeks to destroy the cycle rather than contribute to it even if he had to kill all the other Superman to get there. Killing each Superman that refused to ever accept the death of Lois and child would affect him mentally . Maybe to make it so humanity forgives him have the Superman v Superman fights streaming world wide with the population betting and cheering praying the non genocidal one wins . A little wink to elections , feeling of helplessness and Mike Tyson fight ( still coping that Tyson got washed)

I remember Gunn saying he rejected a Superman movie back in the day. Now I kinda see why he did. I don't feel like his directing style or vision fits superman from the little I've seen

I very much wonder if he does the sequel. I felt he took Superman as a if you wanna do it right do it yourself situation to get the universe off on a good foot
