Nigga you don't like the dark knight?
SUPER is a key word here
and Joker best part of Dark Knight
I think 600-750 million is realistic but the movie is gonna need good word of mouth as well. Just sucks bc WB is stupid and may see that as a L box office
if this movie makes 500mil or anything above that wb is gonna act like gunn is the second coming of christ

Cap. One of the best directed films ever

MoS made a very respectable amount. WB wanted more. BvS despite awful reviews and WoM made $800 milly. WB wanted more which tbf a BvS movie shoulda made a billion at least

its well directed yes but Joker is hero of the movie for me I rewatched it this year lol

wb would kill for 800m these days but yeah if bvs had better reviews it would have made a billi
Crazy how BVS was considered a failure at 800 million for WB.
Nowadays most studios would kill for that amount of money

I think this will do respectable. WB needs to just show some f***ing patience and let it naturally grow. There’s fatigue across the industry atm. This could be refreshing
he can say its gonna be serious all he wants i promise clark kent going to trip over a trash can or something there is a scene where mr terrific is putting dog treats out the store to lure out the chihuahua krypto like bruh this gon be straight comedy thats why guy gardener in it
I think it will have a tone similar to Sam Raimi’s Spider Man movies

When you look at what was considered successful in the early 10’s versus now it’s like night and day marvel/ Disney really f***ed up/ skewed our perception of the game
Star Trek Into Darkness made like 460 million on about a $200 million budget. I’m pretty sure they would call it a flop these days

EASY!

Yeah it’s also annoying that James announced his date like a whole year and a half ago and then Marvel Studios is putting out F4 like a week or two after
And then Universal comes out of absolute nowhere with their new Jurassic World movie the week before Superman. They can’t reasonably think this will make $800M or more. Would be detrimental to themselves (WB).
I hope I’m completely wrong though. I have faith in the movie it’s just hard to not think Jurassic Park can just s*** out a movie and make $1B regardless of quality you know?

true good tone

I absolutely agree. 1 billion dollar movies are not the norm. The late 2010s MCU domination where damn everything was making 700 million to 2 billy was an anomaly that will never happen again.
Marvel really messed the game up. Folks think if a movie doesn't make back triple it's original budget in opening weekend it's a flop.

I’m thinking disney will cave first with the game of chicken on F4. That movie just wrapped filming and supposedly they’re doing better at giving FX the time to make things look good so I can see a November push back (coping)
Jurassic is a different story however
It’s weird they make so much money bc at the same time idk any huge JW fans

Uhhh me!
The new one is made by one of my personal fave directors so I’m there day 1
I don't think Superman and F4 releasing only two weeks after each other is very wise.
They're competing for the same comic book fan audience and they might eat away at each other.
Maybe F4 moves to November but idk

my lil 10 year old cousin f***in loves dinosaurs so its probably families selling the most tickets

the creator was fire
Those JW movies literally print money every time.
The most simple formula, Dinosaurs f***ing s*** up and eating people and people love their dinosaurs.
The movie could be trash and it could still make a billy easy

It double sucks for smaller comic adaptations bc they have completely unreal sales expectations just bc they’re a cbm

Uhhh me got me flying
I liked the first of the new ones that’s about it. I may tap into this one if word of mouth is good
