@WhatsupDaniel pretty good chance the aggressive sub-genres in their current state will be totally different by the end of this decade

I hope for good reasons and not that they've died out. Lil Jojo was already too much and after that the whole war of chiraq thing happened and they are still going strong. There is a major change needed.

    The world is changing.

It’s bigger than hip hop, it’s only a matter of time.

If you tone aggressive/misogynistic lyrics down that alone will cripple a lot these artists self expression

If Snoop Doggy Dogg debuted in 2021 there is a good chance his career wouldn’t have the same impact it did in the early 90s

By 2029 I fully expect hip hop to get a makeover. It may look more like Macklemore, Post Malone, Asher Roth, Riff Raff, Mac Miller.....

Honestly the longer this goes on, I think the
More aggressive sub-genres are going to jeopardize their marketability with the bigger labels.

The trouble... killings... and routine misogynistic-debauchery is going to outweigh the upside.

If you look at how society is trying to transition toward this politically correct, semi censorship world overly aggressive hip hop is hanging on by a thread..

6-7 years ago it was Rick Ross’ date rape bars which would’ve been perfectly fine in the 80s 90s and 00s

Last week, it was Meek’s Kobe bars that would’ve been perfectly fine in the 80s 90s and 00s

It’s only going to get tougher and tougher on the self expression.

All these artists in this lane are on borrowed time .

Meeks bar werent even exactly in poor taste, but rather executed poorly so the emotional impact of kobe's name being used were not worth the throwaway bars.

Is it the online community as whole tho? i think we all as a collective try to dictate this new set of ideals of what is right and what should be allowed while these rappers are on the frontlines and are the outspoken ones, when told its wrong they are most willingly to accept their mistakes they made and almost never down on it, like rick ross would never tell such a bar again.

Man, i hope not, but then again ill already still listen to my old playlist

old wayne/rick ross/jeezy/t-pain have aged amazingly

post malone is great leader of music but for how long will he hold it? he already evaded death multiple times already so im pretty sure they want to take him out.

    Your last paragraph is bars

The issue will become who can still create/express themselves with certain topics being hands off....

A lot of these artists are one dimensional, and if you can no longer sensationalize Murder, d****, and misogyny what are they going to rap about?

Creative artists can adapt but artists who are one dimensional are f***ed.

He smacked her ass and humped her while his friends raped her and recorded it. Youre a weirdo

I said he touched he touched her ass- and was foul for doing so.

    He didn't 'hump' her though.

But regardless, you essentially agreed with me with that post. What the previous guy said was incorrect. Thanks for confirming.

Standing behind someone and doing a 'thrusting motion' and humping someone aren't the same thing.

Regardless though. He didn't 'rub his bare d***' on her. Which is what I was responding to

What he did was bad enough, but people try and exaggerate or add things to it for no reason.
