like do ppl that listen to this music actually take hip-hop srsly? i used to listen to the soundcloud rap like XXX that directly influenced this stuff so i get it in that aspect but i feel like even that had more to offer than just some chubby kid yelling over 808s so blown out you can’t even hear the vocals most of the time

2slimey is very out there even in the underground. He's pushing the distorted sound to its limits, like a death metal or noise band does to rock, not something that appeals to the "mainstream" rage audience. I think there's a place for it, you need artists in any genre to keep experimenting to lead others to something new.
