I really liked this movie but also hate the direction they chose. Basic but wish the whole movie was focused on the dad and son surviving in the mainland & alpha. Felt a bit too emotional evoking in the second half but that’s probably a weird gripe.
That last scene was so comical 💀
You call the movie basic but would prefer for the whole movie to be the first half, which the creators themselves said was essentially intended to be “basic”?

Exactly. I was saying my upcoming comment would be basic but still prefer that direction.
This movie was so strange man wtf some shots are absolutely beautiful and then some are just so strange. And then the ending with Jimmy…???
When they play the Boots poem and you see past footage chaotically blended in with the present horror of the zombies and the dread of them going into the mainland
I really liked this film!
But that ending Lmfao what was that. But that didn’t really take away from the rest of the film! I thought it was fire
I didn’t really get that ending until I watched a couple reviews.
Like the contrast between Spike & Jimmy where one grew up during the quarantine and the other having his childhood ripped (lol) away from him and still retaining that childish persona as a grownup.

The kid was amazing wow
Between him and Miles Caton there is some TALENT brewing that’s for sure
These days it’s impossible to not have a movie spoiler if your feeds on social media are movie stuff.
Not seeing this till Tuesday but ending has incrementally been completely blown for me by YouTube thumbnails, the first seconds of TikTok breakdowns I quickly try and scroll past and ‘recommended’ IG posts
s*** hurts
I know the ending is a bold swing so I was like okay I really don’t wanna even see a frame. Eventually I saw someone’s name, then the general idea, then I was like okay at least I haven’t SEEN it. Then the first video on my FYP was legit just a picture of it with some TikTok dork explaining it

It’s so bad lol I do my best to not click on anything cause it hits you when you least expect it
Just imagined a scenario with zombies saying some potentially sus s*** while eating a dude who's not having it lol
"🧟♂️Eat his ass, it's tender"
AYO
"🧟♀️ Need that dome of his"
HOLLON
tbh wouldve been better with this
