Everything from the opening to when they get back to the island from the mainland is 10/10
The camerawork, editing, score, visuals, EVERYTHING in that first half is legit perfection
And the way they incorporated that Boots poem into the film was just chef's kiss
bro was cock watching

My most anticipated this year! (this and Weapons have had my attention for a while)
Hope it hits
Let's see...I thought the human stuff worked really well, which is no surprise given Danny Boyle is back in the director's chair. The climactic moment was really touching, however I couldn't help but shake the thought of, "This kid didn't listen to what he was told and now his mom is dead because of it." At a certain point both him and his mom started to pmo a bit. They were almost too naive and incompetent.
As for the zombies, well, I've got some issues there. A lot of the lore of the movie just doesn't seem to fit with the previous two films. In 28 Weeks, all the infected starved to death in like 6 months but now they're still around 28 years later without much of an explanation? Unless I missed something. Is it just because of the new Rage virus that happens in the second film? Secondly, did this franchise really need different classes of zombies? It just doesn't feel congruous with the grounded world of the first film.
I actually forgot there's going to be a sequel soon to follow until f***ing Remmick showed up at the end with his band of zombie-fighting tracksuit ninjas. I'm pretty excited about that next movie now because it looks like it's going to be nuts.
Overall, I would say it's good, not great. Had a fun time. Unfortunately, it's starting to feel like it's the year of good, not great at the movies. I'm begging some more titles to join Sinners up there at the top.
28 Weeks Later is not canon

Well Garland claims the new film isn't in conflict with Weeks so
All this talk of the ending but my biggest issue was the bone temple. The whole set was way too elaborate and clean, let alone how the skulls stayed in place as we seen the kid remove one with ease.
Just saw days and weeks for the first time
Days was great. Loved the atmosphere and how bleak it was. Characters were awesome and was just great overall. Like a 4/5
Weeks….. the first 10 minutes / intro is one of the best intros to a horror film I’ve seen. That s*** is f***ing amazing and so fire.
The rest of the film is … uh….. stupid. Like all the characters are so f***ing dumb. I don’t care for any of them. Why is this dude making out with his obviously infected wife.
Why is the father like a zombie ninja and constantly appears everywhere.
Their safety measures to lock the containment were so f***ing dumb.
Lmfao like some cool action scenes and stuff and the universe remains bleak just everything that happens feels so dumb

That first 10 minutes of Weeks was directed by Danny Boyle btw.
Very excited for this however
The trailer is one of the best I’ve seen in a very long time

Tomorrow night
they flopped shoulda been..
-28 days later
-28 weeks later
-this one shoulda been 28 months later
-next one 28 years later
-last one 28 years later pt II
just finished. A bit underwhelmed to be honest. I felt the father/son journey on the mainland was the strongest part of the film but short lived. Feels a bit directionless and almost like a different film after the fact. I knew Jack O’Connell was in the this and was waiting for him all film just to get that silly ass ending. A lot of great themes and scene in all but this could’ve been so much better
