If that's his taste and what the people around him liked i see no problem with him thinking that way

A lot of these hot take discussions could be solved by saying
'Interviewer: that's how you see it personally but it may be different for others
Interviewee: yeah and I don't mean any disrespect to the other artist, I'm just speaking about my individual experience'

    KTT2: the ‘I’m right you’re wrong’ forum

But instead we get things like Tierra Whack saying Jadakiss would wash Nas, saying Nas has no quotable lyrics (one of the biggest lies ever told in rap history) & that nobody cared about his sold out MSG show

Crazy to see that from Tierra. Like you can think Jadakiss is a better rapper than Nas. I disagree, but you can at least have multiple references to site to support that claim.

But Nas having no quotables? Nobody caring about his sold out MSG show? I was literally at that show and that s*** was incredible lmao beautiful homecoming show for him.

This nigga was a toddler during Jim Jones' peak popularity lol

Jim Jones is probably more influential to the younger generation from the NYC/NJ metro area because Jim Jones managed to maintain his local fame. Outside of NY, NJ, Philly, and maybe Miami, I highly doubt that many people younger than 25 have heard of Jim Jones.

Whereas, Nas is likely much more well known regardless of age or location because he's a prominent and well respected artist of the genre. Like if you're even a casual fan of rap/hip-hop you've likely heard of Nas at some point.

Oh nah he said he's from New Jersey at the beginning of the video. If I had to guess where, probably the Paterson area. Paterson niggas love Jim Jones. Another possibility is Irvington or one of the Oranges.

also if the only thing that matters is hits why are nelly and ludacris not considered top 5 rappers of all time?

Kai isn’t the benchmark for music heads

Kai Cenat is a content creator who started off doing comedic skits, he wasn’t really big on music outside of what was on the radio locally and what his family played at home, hence his standom for Drake and Nicki Minaj, along with his high regard for A Boogie, someone who isn’t a commercial powerhouse but has hits and is from NY.

He's kinda right tbh Nas has the least "outside" hits out of any legend. Bigga, Pac, Jayz, etc get spins in the club and parties still but you dont hear Nas.

How many 90s rappers are really getting spins in the club these days?

  • Jun 12, 2025

Personally I don't really care to hear any rap music in the club. Unless it's 90s and 00s rappers. And the list of rappers I wanna hear from that era is short anyway.

    LL Cool J
    Pac
    50 Cent
    Biggie
    Busta Rhymes
    Jay Z
    Missy Elliott
    Lil Jon
    Snoop

    That's about it honestly

S*** annoying especially when the artist does have a couple tracks I wouldn't mind hearing at the club or function lol

I remember a tweet saying When was the last time you heard somebody in the club say "Yo throw on some LL Cool J!" and I was like...LL Cool J is probably the best rapper to have playing at the club lmao

Any club playing one of or all of these tracks is the club I'm tryna be at.
