NunTheWiserThis world some of y’all live in where artists need to be dropping every calendar year to prove something is just dumb. Especially when you look at the overall landscape of music, not just rap.
No disrespect to big artists in rap that want to be releasing frequently, but plenty of great artists take time with their work. It’s such a f***ing moot point.
It’s bled into hip hop discussions on other platforms too even by so called “experts” like aren’t we supposed to just judge the music? When Kendrick dies who tf is gonna say “yeah he had classics but he took a long hiatus in between his third and fourth album”

I used to live and breathe Kendrick Lamar music and I still liked Big Steppers but he needs to step back outside and drop music more often.
Big steppers wasn’t worth the 5 year. wait. I think TPAB was well worth the 3 year wait though.
