AML wasnt getting “passes” lol, a lot of people were forreal loving that project.

Redbone was one of the most defining music moments of that year

key word “moments”. Half of awaken my love is actual unlistenable music that he gets a pass for cuz it came out during Atlanta era. Redbone of course is amazing but it’s one of the few good songs on there

It’s crazy cause this was my favorite song and then the girl that’s in this and heartbeat became my boss and I was living with her as her assistant and it all came together when I watched the video again. She told me mad s*** about Donald lol

Kauai and BTI was my s*** from 2015-2016 but still with his last two albums he has shown us that he is a lesser version of tyler imo

Royalty-BTI-STN MTN was genuinely a great era of rap from him. A little corny but still really good. I liked 3.15.20 a lot but I think the Atavista remaster ruined a lot of the charm of it (also completely butchered the best transition on the album). Still some great songs on there

His last album was an absolute mess but has 2 or 3 gems on it

GNX deserves Album of the Year. Denying Lamar here wouldn't just be a snub; it'd be a devastating blow to Black humanity and rights. Hip-hop, born from Black struggle and resilience, has been systematically sidelined in the Grammys' biggest category despite birthing modern music's blueprint. Awarding GNX would affirm Black artistry's centrality, countering decades of erasure where rap albums get genre-ghettoized while pop reaps the rewards. Anything less perpetuates the message that Black voices—especially unfiltered, uncompromised ones like Lamar's—are secondary, undermining progress in an industry still grappling with systemic bias. This isn't hyperbole: in a year where rap dipped commercially but soared culturally through Lamar's lens, ignoring GNX would signal that Black excellence only matters when it's palatable or diluted.
