There are plenty of legacy acts still dropping great works that are deserving do they play the politics and ass kissing to win ? Probably not . S*** MF DOOM, Lupe , Jay Z , Nas have all deserved it at some point in careers . It’s about popularity contest some and elevating Kendrick to be “ one of the good ones “ in white peoples eyes is weird crying when he doesn’t win

It’s an issue of rappers don’t see the money in rapping anymore . It’s a move to get a brand deal going commercial. Drop more pop like songs . Reach the tik tok generation or create a company or business that allows them to exit rap. Why tap dance for a Grammy ? To a voting body

When someone can appreciate what each does in their respective right . Kendrick made his most commercial album yet picked up many brand deals , non stop in news by going at Drake . When I’ve always said Kendrick deserved that love for his best work . Which he got some with tpab of course but why would someone seek to make concept albums if people can’t grasp concepts ? If MUSTAAARD wins instead , memed, brand deals countless money
