If we giving it video game attributes, then I think Tyler is a 95/96 at producing and like a 82/83 at rapping at his best

His production is what makes his music interesting

I’ve never listened to him for lyrics

Bro cb-igor every album just delivered so hard and was so different from the one before it

What a time bro, maybe we took it for granted as a fandom

I expected another huge era and vibe shift / jump in quality after fb- Igor

Call me is cool but it’s been diminishing returns for me. I expect too much prob

he’s actually probably the best actual underdog i can think of

i was gonna say he's been in the spotlight too long to be an underdog but then i forgot about all the controversies ur onto something

These points dont align. If LA loved tyler why cant he represent. Correlation aint causation

he's loved everywhere he goes dawg, he can rep whatever he wants but lets not act like he was doing all that and making west coast throwback tracks beforehand

like ik part of kanye's story is being an underdog but he bagged kim k and dropped 7 of the best albums ever made back to back. he won. idk who i'd consider to be an underdog tbh. i guess the clipse are underdogs rn

kanye had roc nation backing him. he was never an underdog

I feel like you are rating him a bit too high for his productions. Not even hating but I don't think his production style is that unique

Nah he’s an incredible producer. You don’t gotta be unique to be incredible at producing music. But even still, I think he’s carved out a clear and defined niche for himself. Nobody else in music right now makes music that sounds like Tyler albums

    It’s weird

For me I felt his next album after Call me would be his big cross over album and it wasn’t but at the same time it was his most successful by a long shot. He’s in a weird position imo. Huge in his lane but not necessarily huge like other super stars

I think I feel the same as you

To tell you the truth with Chromakoia i think Tyler knew it was gonna be a big expansion for his audience and he just gave his sound in an accessible bow. Not the first time hes done it honestly flower boy was that and wolf to a lesser extent like those big growth in fandom albums for him BUT this time it just felt by the numbers. It wasnt bad but definitely pretty sterile for a tyler album I miss the jazz man, tyler bring the jazz back
