refusing to talk to media is already a bad look. you signed up for that when you decided to play tennis professionally. it's not something that crept up on you and smacked you in the face, you dealt with it your whole life

and then she ditches the entire tournament and claims she didn't want to be a distraction when everyone (including her) knew that leaving the tournament entirely was gonna draw the most attention possible
