FundamentaIsReally at the end of the day universities need to care enough to address these things. As much as everyone hates "fake wokeness" (trust me people who actually deal with these issues hate fake wokeness more than them maga dudes on twitter lol) last June after all the protests there were some organizations at least making MARGINAL change.
The problem is the momentum didnt carry over and now you got places thinking they did enough and their job is done.
Also a lot of it is about greed and money and universities dont care about students who they dont think is bringing that in for them
Another issue is that these universities (perhaps all) are the commodity
People want to come to them and whilst that demand is there there is less reason to change.
You’re of course right it comes to greed and more likely organisation inertia and lack of changing the culture of these establishment. It’s really hard to change that especially when all these initiatives are seen as kip Service.
