feelingisfirstit really is used as a crutch for personality by a lot of ppl today
but tbh its just more accepted to extend, if not, maximize engagement in generally viewed ''young adult'' hobbies and interests for older adults nowadays.

I think you’re right that ranking aoty doesn’t exist outside of niche discussions and general baiting for engagement on social media.
At my age I enjoy the music I like and I don’t have the need to try and convince people to like it or try to justify it anymore.
Re the Kpop point I’ve come around on the genre but the connotations are still wild here especially with the fetishisation people have. I wouldn’t go as far as calling it parody music but it’s still a niche/gimmick
