not crazy about the high floor narrative around mitchell, feel like thats how teams rationalized evan turner, but to his credit hes won at every level like draymond so like you said i wouldnt mind him at 14
I really like Mitchell in the right situation. A lot of his success, especially on the defensive end and being a smaller guard, came because of Baylor's outstanding defensive system and the presence of guys like Mark Vital, Jared Butler, and MaCio Teague who could all switch and could all guard 1 on 1 on the perimeter. I think his offense works anywhere, but he's best suited as a high energy 6th man who can be an active defender and great shooter, I think that profile perfectly suits the 14th pick.
My overall point is that Mitchell's floor in GS is a lot different than his floor on a team like the Pelicans or Kings, and his ceiling is probably higher there too
