remember Biden went off on those Michigan union workers tho expect that to get brought back up in the general, especially when Trump can channel that NRA anger too lol

For sure, Biden can't afford to lose in the rust belt. Trump can lose Michigan and Pennsylvania and still win the election with Wisconsin + the rest of his 2016 wins.

I think this is the most likely scenario 7 months out

    270towin.com

Imagine a Trump victory in which he loses the popular vote by 3+ million but wins the EC in one of the slimmest margins ever...

Yeah I think he's gonna skip out on the debates for that reason

Trump will run nonstop ads on: Ukraine, NAFTA, Iraq, sniffing little girls, threatening to slap workers etc. Biden can’t hide

His campaign isn’t going to play by the rules it will be ugly

Bernie would have got it bad too, but I really fear Dems f***ed this up so badly.

Scenario 1: Polls remain close leading into election. Biden doesn't do enough to win back the Rust Belt but still beats Trump in the popular vote. Trump wins EC by slim margin.

Scenario 2: Biden selects a universally liked VP. Wins back the Rust Belt and competes strong in Georgia, Texas, and Arizona.

Scenario 3: Biden collapses in the general. Proves to be an even worse candidate than Clinton, picks a VP who doesn't help him with voter enthusiasm. Loses the EC and popular vote after relentless attacks from Trump campaign and poor showings in the debates.

The sad reality is, calling Bernie socialist would be more damning than all of those things put together.

The GOP has been crying “socialist” for decades. The word has lost all meaning in America.

“Bernie wants to tax you personally at 70% and give it all to Mexicans” would be their most effective attack

Biden would really have to put his foot in his mouth for that scenario tbh, I'm leaning towards 1.

Not 100% saying he did it, but I was leaning towards not voting Biden either way but this just put it over the top.

I vote with my values not a party.
