Yeah but what got trump elected in the first place was a right wing push back against how the left has moved when it comes to accepting immigrants and stuff like that. Seeing as Bernie wants a path to citizenship for all illegal immigrants and to give them free healthcare, I don’t see how him being president would make that push back any less likely than if it was Biden

The corona panic is...actually... good for Bernie??
He needs to make it abundantly clear on Sunday why M4A is necessary to deal with such pandemics. Hammer Biden on the millions he’d leave uninsured and how they can spread disease
corona incredibly good for bernie he the only one wit a plan and everyone should know that M4A is HIS thing, not Biden (which i think he will make clear). he has been HAMMERING corona lately in speeches and twitter
and biden even has a chance of beating trump bc corona but bernie ESPECIALLY SO

right, but how would this stop progressives from being active? yes biden won’t get many progressive acts done but how is this worse or the same level as trump? wouldnt another 4 years of trump just as effectively stop any progressive movement by the same logic

trump has had a microscope to his ass and actions since before he even got elected, biden has not been properly vetted and could very well continue to do shady s*** if he gets to be president and likely be able to do it right under our noses bc the public would likely be complacent after Trump and lose their political fervor/not care anymore (bc “democrats good” 🙄)
like obama did a lot of stuff “under our noses” that has came back to bite us (either politically or practically) - the bail outs, immigration (“children in cages,”) questionable foreign policy, etc
LOOK i’m not saying absolutely no “progressive” policies would get passed under Biden (obviously likely more than would get passed by Trump) and i will give him a degree of benefit of the doubt (besides always sorta moving like a 🐍)
and 4 years of Trump, rather than “stop” the progressive movement has actually seemed to help it tremendously as a rallying cry (giving a “face” to corruption in current times) and opportunity to build an effective platform in lining up real change. had hillary beat trump i don’t think there would have been as big a push for things like M4A for instance.
@DickerSpaniel trump is in the spot light and he’s still getting away with s*** all the time. i doubt biden would have that privilege if the GOP still controls the senate under his presidency and i doubt he would be doing half as bad as the s*** trump is doing. that obama stuff wasnt always under our noses, that stuff was known during his presidency. also i think its kind of a slap in the face to ppl like bernie and warren to a degree pushing for policies like M4A by associating the rise in the policies’ popularities with trumps presidencies. they were fighting for those policies since before trump had come into office and grew in popularity bc theyre good ideas. not much as happened with healthcare under trump aside with some votes on ACA so I dont see how his presidency has reallly helped the narrative for M4A that much.

wow ur finally understanding that there is no significant difference between the 2

thats not what i said lmao
how
WA has super early voting
thats not what i said lmao
ur last sentence is pretty much it
biden is not an ally to anyone but capitalists and billionaires, same as trump

yeah it was a question bc i think its a flawed logic. im asking to explain how it makes sense to place biden and trump into the same group just because theyre not bernie. there are degrees to this s***, it cant always be black and white

It’s just sour grapes tbh
No reasonable person actually thinks they are the same

both racist old men. only difference is one pretends to pay lip service to left leaning causes like raising the minimum wage. but biden has already said he has no empathy for young people

so you would rather have no chance at raising the minimum wage in the next 4 years than a chance at doing so?

Why is it hard for u to understand that biden is not going to do anything about raising the minimum wage lmao

i dont see why it wouldnt be in the realm of possibility should the dems gain control of the senate this year. there would be a chance so thank u for dodging the q
Bernie would pretty much be guaranteed only 1 term anyway with his age
It’s not like he could have even changed much in his time in office

ur question is overall irrelevant. some of us aren't in the business of wanting to return to neoliberal politics just so there's a chance the minimum wage might be raised.

Says the guy talking about sour grapes. That’s a bunch of malarkey son.
how
Whats the 30% other

again i’m not even subscribing to the line of reasoning i am just explaining it - i wouldn’t call it a slap in the face at all, trump has stoked the flames of public interest in politics (at least on a surface level) at a time that has been very “convenient” in getting the progressive (trump “antithesis”) message out there and building a base willing to push for it and push for specific policy and issues OUTSIDE of just pushing for a politician that backs those
edit: and yeah i think the lack of doing virtually anything has helped accent the need for proper reform - f*** the man entered the office saying he was gonna get rid of all of Obamacare , instead done barely anything , and we ALREADY knew Obamacare wasn’t a perfect solution or even went as far as it should. so this lack of action (and now wit damn pandemics and s***) seems to have had the effect of people trying to take it into their own hands
anyway there’s literally no way to accurately “know” unless there’s two separate realities where they are both president at the same time and we can compare accordingly lol

Says the guy talking about Biden is more republican than Donald Trump
A one-term President fighting the senate for half if it really isn’t going to accomplish much
Electing Bernie would be more symbolic than anything

why you think biden wouldn’t be 1 term too?
