Well he said he would make 0% payroll taxes and most people really don’t care about whether they economy moves left and right. I thought the question was if trump moved to the left socially (being nicer to minorities, expanding welfare coverage, supporting reproductive rights) and that is what wouldn’t be a good idea for him

I agree social liberalism would be a bad move for trump, indeed the biggest segment of disaffected conservatives are the ones who feel he’s “cucked” on immigration. I was just speaking to economics

2nd presidential primary election cycle in a row Bernie Bros was talking that s*** early on only to be no-shows when it’s time to actually vote then complain about not getting enough votes. We really doing this again 4 years later? For what? Cmon y’all.

What do you mean no-show, lol? We showed up...it's just there's more of them than us right now.

Biden is going to drop out of the debates

That’s not the point I was making.

Again, I will vote for Bernie next week, but will vote for Biden in the general election.

Biden isn’t going to change the world. I know that. It’ll be business as usually under Biden. I’m not excited about that but it’s so much better than the Trump alternative which I believe will eventually cause almost unrepairable damage to much of this country.

You can vote Trump. You can not vote for Biden. That’s your choice, but there are bigger issues than trying to make a weak-political statement on social media and a hip hop forum by not voting because uhhhhh DNC BAD.

    sounds pretty authoritarian bruh

gonna vote for a third party and folks can die mad about it. if the democrats wanted me to vote for their candidate than they shouldve picked one who wont destroy the planet.

Yeah but like I said, it’s not like a lot of people, even liberals, care about the way economics is done enough to vote for him over that. All they care about if the economy’s doing good or not, and it generally is but coronavirus is threatening that

An overthrow of the US government is lowkey impossible

why is it impossible, the country has already split once

so u saying have literally no hope? im already hopeless enough, i also despise all presidents, the gov, the way it operates and the mind numbing stupidity of this country. i even dislike bernie in a way, but hes the candidate that can atleast push us forward towards actual greatness so i dont completely hate him. its lookin real tough for bernie rn though so he might be out. its most likely gonna be 2016 all over again. i wanna atleast feel like i have a say in the election by not voting for trump even if we gon get senile trump.

hypothetically if we as a society stopped putting faith in electoral politics right this instant, we would get trump. and he is worse than even s***ty ass biden. we too p**** and comfortable for the drastic measures actually needed to reform this country and world, so doing this voting bullshit is all we have to exercise the little "power" us citizens have over the handling of the country we live in.

do u think theres literally no difference between trump and biden so u basically saying f*** it? if thats the case then why follow politics still?

I'm not saying to have no hope. but put your hope elsehwere. @KimJongUn would advise to join a workers party (she recommends the IWW and id say thats a good step to start)

I truly believe there is no nominal difference between trump and biden. both will always side with the capitalist class and shaft the workers. biden, as democrats always have, will just do it with more coded language. beyond that, whatever slight differences they have on social policy because Biden is 1) a "conservative" in his heart and 2) won't fight for anything anyways.

follow politics but not solely from a US centered perspective. it's important to keep up with things going on in the world and of course the US. im not saying dont ever vote, there may be some local elections where a person aligned with your values could win. but beyond that just keep urself educated and stick to ur convictions and do your best to spread the message to those around you, especially those with similar distrust of the status quo

Imagine being so childish that you sit out a pivotal presidential election or intentionally vote against your own interests because the rest of an entire incredibly diverse country didn’t believe in your one, single, very specific niche candidate.

Attention morons: there will never be a socialist revolution (especially in America). The working class doesn’t care about your platform and if the youth can’t even be mobilized to vote in large enough numbers, how do you expect them to actually pick up arms

And it’ll be hard to convince people the economy is doing well if they personally start feeling the pinch in the next few months. I’m not saying he will nationalize industries and 90% corporate tax rate but the number of people who wouldn’t vote for him cause he made a move deviating from fiscal conservative orthodoxy is small

he will do anything to subtly mask a tanking economy (thereby likely belong it tank more) that he can to truck the general public, no matter what ideology or practice it borrows from

The world is entirely different than in late 1800s man. I don't believe its impossible, but by today standards I believe its very very improbable. At the very least I don't think most americans would be on board.

8 years of obama harkening back to clinton neo liberal politics helped bring us trump and this is just the poorest iteration of that yet
