Americans, like most people, are simply scared of change and would rather keep up the status quo than try something else. People are getting left behind while the elites grow their power and wealth but the middle class would rather keep things the same and buy into the idea of social mobility instead of think of the disenfranchised and try to give all citizens basic rights and a comfortable life.

Like in 2016, the country will get the president it deserves. I just hope the youth and progressive movement keeps growing its voice

I’m a pretty strong proponent of open borders so I didn’t care for the Obama admin’s policies, but even returning to the status quo levels would allow tens of thousands of refugees to get admitted.
