Bernie doesn’t just want universal healthcare, he wants to largely eliminate private insurance and forgive all student debt. Not saying I’m against it, but it’s not like that in Europe. He goes farther than all the Nordic countries he’s trying to compare his policies to

Yk canada doesnt allow private insurance except for dental

Painting bernies plan as more radical doesnt make any sense considering they’re apples and oranges

So is canadas medicare for all radical?
    UKs Nhs?

    France?

The nordic public systems aren’t the only standard

The rightists in here don't understand that respecting your citizens' rights isn't radical, just taking care of them

Some tools in the US have been brainwashed into wanting slavery back but this time for all races fr

It's already like that in Canada.

It's around $500 USD per semester in total in college including parking. Around 1-2k per semester in uni including parking again because f*** taking the bus, I was never gonna do that

And we may have insurers but if you don't have any the government steps in and covers most of the already cheap cost. Without private insurance you won't ever pay more than &50 USD per month at a pharmacy in my province.

Bernie's ideas don't sound that crazy to me.

if bernie wins, I might finally be able to have spinal fusion surgery without throwing myself into 5 years+ of medical debt.

just finished, only part i think he wrong about is waiting to unleash before biden

i know he definitely mentioned like an EW co-sign or whatever in the chamber, but really imo there is nothing better bernie can do than announcing a black female VP now, and before biden. this secures a large chunk of wine mom support, black support and hopefully rallies the youth a little bit for the primary. if biden does it after, it also cheapens that as well, coupled with his history, which hopefully only gives it more weight

it’s imperative bernie does this before any official obama or black VP nod, imo. media will run with it in the opposite direction, otherwise

There isn’t a country with universal healthcare that doesn’t have private insurance. Bernie’s plan isn’t going to “abolish” it, but it’s going to render it obsolete because Medicare for all is going to cover so much including dental. So yeah, his healthcare plan is going far beyond other countries

Yeah but tuition FREE colleges + all debt forgiven? Once again, I don’t really stand against these plans but they’re going beyond what exists in Canada and Europe. When people say “he’s be moderate in Europe” that’s not true at all. Compare his actual platform with that of center parties in Europe and you’ll see a difference

The New York Times editorial board doesn't even know how to do simple math but we are supposed to trust them on their views?

No wonder they are the failing New York Times

What I'm saying is that it's not that foreign of a concept. It would barely be different and imo it's just logical. He's not a moderate but he's not a socialist either. He's simply on the left.

Bernie was asked if he thinks Biden can beat Trump and he said "Yes, I do."

    smh

He needs to hit the DNC and Joe Biden harder

He should be leveraging his supporters to make the establishment afraid of him, instead he's just going after Joe on his record and buying into dumb narratives about his supporters

I know he wants to be nice and only focus on policy but he has to make a strong electability argument or he's going to lose

Old voters are deciding this primary and their #1 issue is beating Trump

I'm sure one of his reasons for being soft on Joe is that he doesn't wanna get blamed when Trump wins again but he needs to realize that they will blame him no matter what

We will see when the debate comes how it goes though maybe Joe will destroy himself or maybe Bernie will make him look unelectable

  • Is Bernie really folding? Please tell me it’s not true
