i mean bernie has done incredibly well (so much so we had warren trying her best to basically clone his campaign) and generated a ton of base, interest and money so much so he is and was the sole front runner since the rip, which all gives me hope. we can say it may be largely because of the sort of chasm the party had due to just being in shambles after losing 4 years ago, but i do think a sizable progressive movement has opened within the democrat party - we can see this in how virtually every candidate scrambled to adopt a policy in things like M4A and climate change, for example
