Sanders Medicare-for-all bill doesn't ban ALL private health insurance. What it does ban is any private health coverage that duplicates the coverage offered by the government. For example, if Sanders Medicare-for-all system covered hospital stays but not dental work, then private insurers would still be free to offer plans that cover dental needs.
But it would cover dental, so there’s not much room for private insurance to cover anything

The thing is, he’s not expanding the eligibility of Medicare, he’s going to make Medicare cover a lot more things. Private insurance won’t be illegal, but it’ll be essentially run out of business (not that I care)

I mean it’s clear that something has to change, and I think you’re right that Bernie is probably the candidate with the best chance of actually fixing things. In an ideal world, I would like to see Warren’s plan in the US but you did raise a good point, we don’t live in an ideal world so shoehorning that into our existing bullshit for-profit health infrastructure wouldn’t fix enough
