gabapentintrump won cause the 2016 GOP primary had "winner takes all the delegates in a state" (i dont remember if it was all the states but a lot of them) so 35-40% equaled all the delegates in a given state
the dem primary splits the delegates proportionately, so it's harder to rack up delegates
not saying its systematically robbing bernie but it would be a lot easier for bernie to get the nom if he had 2016 GOP rulesOh I know. Between that and the superdelegates the dnc’s is far more rigged but still
The winner take all states started mid March btw, the ones before it were mostly proportional. But by that time trump had already ran thru them on Super Tuesday so it was all but a wrap
