S*** like this is why my white supremacist, hardcore conservative, climate change denying, anti-liberal ass roomate is so brainwashed

I gotta say, “Bolshevik Bernie” is WAY more effective and funny than “Crazy Bernie.” Trump should use that instead

“The 51-member council voted 29-22 to approve the measure. About two-thirds of the council would have been forced out of office under the two-term limit, but they can now run for a third term in the November 2009 election.“

oh wow not suspicious at all wow

he was the incumbent mayor and i don’t think any has ever lost a reelection iirc. so yeah

I sincerely hope pete is as widely hated among politicians as people say he is so his career won’t go anywhere after he drops out. He hasn’t put the years in and trying to climb the ladder fast, and everyone sees through it. Hopefully he’ll just go the usual sellout route and be limited to lobbyist options

Beto is the real version of a politician trying to shoot his load early and wrecking his career tho.

If he didn’t let the clout get to his head and surround himself with ghouls, he could’ve rode the goodwill from his 2018 senate run against ted cruz in Texas and easily win this November. We would’ve had the first democrat Texas senator since late 80s I think?

Instead he hit the pookie, decided to go for president with a vanity fair magazine cover, and now democrats will likely lose that seat to a relatively unknown republican John Cornyn because Beto had to go clout chasing. Now hes posting instagram photos of him eating burgers and broccoli

he got baited by the media. the establishment media made him their flavor of the week star and ran their puff pieces on him as usual, and once he ceased being useful he was thrown aside again as usual, but he thought the media puff pieces were a genuine reflection of his momentum

Def true. My guess is bigwigs immediately read him as an exciting newcomer that could try to emulate Obama’s appeal. esp for youth vote. But his campaign had corny and artificial looks one after another (skateboard, standing on tables) making it so transparent he didn’t know what he was doing. soon as his media momentum window was gone, big donors balked and campaign was done.

Same kinda happened with Kamala. Her only strengths were big donors and favorable coverage. Soon as the coverage slumped when tulsi ethered her, her only donors dipped, her crappy staff collapsed and she was SOL

kind of amazing how these career staffers for Beto, kamala, and Warren have toxic written all over them yet they keep getting work. Chuck Rocha on Bernie’s team is an ex felon making him scorched earth in the eyes of other campaigns, and yet he’s one of the major reasons they ran away with NV and why they’re gonna crush Texas and California

I think regarding Beto, the momentum behind him in Texas was basically a reflection "actual person running against Cruz" rather than it was "BETO running against Cruz". It's why he failed so poorly after Texas. Clearly no one gave a s*** about him, voters in Texas only gave a s*** about him not being Ted Cruz. Plus once he got out of Texas he just started embarrassing himself continually with his stupid quips and remarks. Once you got behind the puff pieces, there really wasn't anything special to Beto at all and it became apparent

I don’t want to get ahead of myself but the media is slowly and ever so slightly beginning to bend the knee.

Maybe they think if they’re nice to President Sanders then he won’t break them up

Nevermind. I got ahead of myself

Anyone else lose interest in the debates?

I feel like it's all just one whole s*** show of soundbites and easily digestible information with no intelligent discussion at all. I would much rather watch a TV show of them all just sitting and talking civilly.

I don't give a f*** about ratings (unfortunately MSNBC and CNN does) -- I just want real, actual , intellectual information about how they feel on certain issues.

It just further plays into the "uninformed voters vote based on characteristics of the candidate not on their actual policy stance." these debates don't give candidates enough time to actually speak.

Moderators are biased, crowds are biased, all of this is for profit. I'm out.

I agree but let’s keep it a trillion, even if they did say what they believed in a calm and collected manner, most people on this site and the internet in general will still be s***ting all over them because they disagree

I agree; It's very sad that this is todays political climate.

I don't think you deserve to have an opinion, however, if you are unable to directly communicate your stance and UNDERSTAND the other persons stance without getting red-faced and slobbering everywhere in anger.

It's getting harder to find people who are able to do this. Most people just use slurs and hate the other party and are unable to form coherent sentences on why they feel a certain way.

They’re just responding to what the people on each side are doing. The republicans (party members and supporters) are just as much to blame for this as the democrats. I don’t see how it could get any better tho

if the other candidates had dropped out already like they should have then the remaining ppl would have more time to talk.
