I think you’re overestimating just how left the left-wing of the Dems are. Warren also firmly represents this demographic as a speaker, and Harris is representing them on the ticket. AOC is still popular with a lot of more moderate Dems who don’t necessarily align with her politics just because of her story and her persona. I don’t think they actually want her there saying her piece.

They definitely could use more young blood in the lineup, though... The Dems are way too set in their ways as far as playing favorites based on seniority.
