Because, obviously, when they say that, they mean that Trump has an affinity for Cuban and Venezuelan national interests

They're trying to say that they're similar in some sort of way, there's obviously no comparison to be made.

Joe Biden has went at Trump for not being hard enough on Venezuela tho.

ain’t anything to praise the man for

  • yeah im feeling the GOP is going to get absolutely f***ed this year's election cycle, i have yet to see a single right wing pundit not talking about how much of a failure the GOP is and how they can't do anything right. there might not be enthusiasm for biden per-se but there's even less for a lot of the GOP right now

Y’all are just too bitter to help yourselves. He’s not Bernie, but he is running a super progressive campaign as far as Dems go, and he is already putting actual progressives into key roles within his team.

Nobody is touting Biden as a bold leader. That goes both ways, though. He has never been some stringent bastion of the 3rd way or something, he has always been willing to adapt to what his constituents want. Voters just expect him to put capable people around him, and he has shown that to be the case so far. And, yes, as far as Democratic nominees go, there is a pretty easy argument to be made that Biden has the most progressive platform in their history.

So you believe a Biden is gonna make things better for the working class of this country?

That’s a pretty broad question... The only real answer is yes. He is running on strengthening unions, increasing the minimum wage and making post-secondary more accessible. Even if that isn’t the worker’s revolution that some people want, it is objectively a platform aiming to improve life for the working class.

If it's strictly a choice between Trump and Biden, there's really no way that you can say that Biden would not help the working class more for the sole reason of the Supreme Court. Peep how many horribly damaging pro-bussiness/anti-worker decisions they've made over the last four years (and that includes all of the damaging s*** that has come to the environment as a result, and don't even get me started on all of the structural racism they've supported).

There's a solid chance Thomas and/or Alito will retire (wouldn't mind one of those f***s dying either) in the next four years. And then of course there's the massive opportunity cost of Ginsburg or Breyer leaving as well.

All that said, forget about Biden. Realize that there's another branch of government (and in turn, all the progressive causes, now and for yeeaaaaarrrrsssss to come) dependent on this election.

Example: let's pretend Trump wins 4 more years. Then AOC gets elected in 2024 (and somehow she also has Dem majority in House and Senate willing to pass her agenda).

Good f***ing luck keeping things like Medicare For All & The Green New Deal around with 7 hard core conservatives on the Supreme Court and 4 more years of Trump appointees in other Federal Courts lmfaoooooooo

There was plenty of choice within the Dem field tbh, and the people made their choice.

Compared to most democratic primaries there was, but if you compare it to any other liberal democracy in the West there was very little variety.
