One team bats other fields.
Batting team sends out two batmens.
Fielding team picks a bowler to throw six pitches. 6 pitches is called an over. In a regular match you get 50 overs to bat so 300 balls total.
Batsmen hit the ball all over the field and run to the other end of the pitch to score runs. Fielding team has to get the batting team out 10 times.
Batters can get out by missing the ball and having it hit the 3 sticks behind them called wickets, by hitting in the air and having the ball be caught, or having a fielder hit the wickets with the ball while the batter is running between the wickets.

Basically you gotta score more runs than the other team

Test matches are 5 days long

One days are 50 overs per team (300 balls) take about 5 hours

T20's are 20 overs per team (120 balls) take a couple hours
