although in a lot of cases your manager is aiding in your exploitation as well. they aren't the ones with the access to capital and the means of production

A commodified, profit seeking housing market = exploitative.
You, the landlord, now profit off this persons labor, because they have to pay their wage to you, after already going through one round of exploitation at their job. you have done nothing to earn this profit. you are not supplying the housing, you are denying them housing in one step, and then pretending you are doing them a favor in another. you are contributing to misery and a system of exploitation. and your excuse is "well if i dont do it the bank will"
and instead of outright opposing this system, you say hey i might as well profit it off of it. and at every turn you use this weakass justification, and try to make it seem like i am the one okay with the exploitation while youre out here doing the exploiting.
Lol what you’re not getting is until the banks stop exploiting, I think im helping as the middle person. Lots of landlords arent cashflow positive on a monthly basis.

I know but let's say for example a baker owns a small bakery. that baker does the same day to day activities as every employee while also keeping the bakery's books, managing payroll, advertising etc. There are plenty of small businesses that operate on a model just like this.

sounds like their business model is still going to be relying on extracting surplus value from their employees, so thus it is exploitative.
