they didn't favor offensive players. its just the fact that superstars are typically superstars because of their offensive capabilities. they have luka number 3 for example because his offensive talent is going to be way more impactful than some top tier wing defender on a night to night basis, there's no reason to believe they made the list thinking "hey, lets favor offensive players", no, the way the game works favors offensive talent being more impactful.

And so the reason its dumb to put jokic above AD, is because AD's offense is just as impactful as jokic, and his defense is among the best handful of players in the world lol. so he's impacting the game at a high level offensively and defensively, and jokic is not. the list is not "who is going to have the best season on offense" it's who they think will be the best players this upcoming season. so yeah, i'll take the 26/10 guy who should be DPOY, over jokic.
