Steph’s dominance shatters the paradigm of what a NBA superstar should look like.

A lot of fans see this skinny slow-ass 6’3 guy who can’t dunk and they just can’t comprehend that he could possibly be the best player in the sport. Their perception of what the best player should look like is an athletic 7-footer who can shoot over anyone like KD, or muscled-freak like Lebron who can bowl his way over any human in the planet.

Steph’s image clashes with their world view. That implicit bias prevents them from accepting just how good he is, even to this day

Basically there was a Lakers Twitter girl Vivian who went missing on Sunday evening. This dude Josh she got a podcast with put out the news and drummed up enough efforts that people putting the word out, getting some players from the team to RT, think they even got the team themselves looking. Boom, Monday comes around, they do a little search party and end up finding her. Come to find out it wasn’t a “her” at all. Some dudes go on a Twitter space (basically Clubhouse) talking about this dude Kings on the TL “Vivian” had been flirting with and s***, but they never FT’d or nothing. Somehow Shams and KD end up in the first space, Taylor Rooks found herself in the second one, and there were many memes.
