Ye24You could argue there never really is any true redemption for anybody. Doing “good” now doesn’t actually dissolve or erase the “bad” s*** you did before but you learn & grow from your mistakes
Would you prefer the content was less true to its nature and what actually took place? We all watch crime thrillers and serial killer flicks & that doesn’t mean we somehow agree with what they are doing. Captivating stories are simply interesting & Norton had a helluva performance in that film. It’s a highly acclaimed movie for a reason and that doesn’t mean everyone who likes it is a racist lmao
Nah my issue was that you don’t see enough of the “redemption” for however much you see of the bad.
If a character like that can even be redeemed but that’s a different debate in itself.
