The islamophobia in the western world. The way western countries defended the drawings is what triggered it

its still dumb af bro people in zimbabwe have way more serious worries to deal with and im sure no regular citizen there would feel any way about a drawing

I agree we should stop with the islamophobia and muslims should be treated as equal, like everybody else in france, but the reaction from all these country is just mass scale manipulation from their part

What makes you say that so confidently.

Im not gonna stop believing because some people that claim to practice the same religion happen to be idiots... just sounds like you werent doing a lot of reading, learning and practicing to begin with if that caused you to step away from islam

The “war on terror” has objectively done more damage than the actual 9/11 attacks.
Not sure if you’re being purposefully ignorant of this

The war on terror would have never occurred without Islamic extremism though. I don’t support the war on terror in any way, but being passive towards Islamic extremism isn’t the way to do this

If it’s told in the religion that those depictions arent right then why do it to offend people? That’s like holding an abortion festival in Vatican City

Its fine to have a belief but the idea that those beliefs can't be questioned or everyone has to follow them even if they aren't in that community is uneasy for me.

I understand that but my point is just that nobody from zimbabwe or turkey or jordan is going to be affected by a cartoon from some random French newspaper for boomers

So that warrants two random civilians being f***ing beheaded????????? You niggas are insane

btw what i was saying is it happened after every time Macron has announced new coronavirus s***, not that its what he said that made the terrorists act up lol

My point is exactly that tho, is that it’s cyclical. War on terror causes more extremism. More extremism causes more “wars on terror”. I’m not defending any extremist, but it’s my own (and your own) western governments that are taking an implicit role in this cycle too

Again, but they are affected by islamophobia all over the world.

The problem is people being offended

You dont choose when people are offended, if people get offended they just do. I believe in free speech and no one should get killed for what they say (obviously). But i also think ur sad if u just offend just to offend

It's just satire man, something that has been going on for hundred of years in media and literature. Charli Hebdo satirized and mocked every community (blacks, christians, jews, whites etc) and nobody gave a s*** .... Only muslims are triggered about the drawings of an irrelevant magazine like Charli Hebdo.

The f*** you saying that like i'm not a native arab in a country where 99 percent of the populace is Sunni Muslim. Like this particular interpreation of the world was all that I was taught my whole life and now you talm about me not being familiar with religion. Plz don't come at me with that dismissive s*** again. It's literally what we fighting in this very thread right now...

The not all Muslims brigade are so weird, not all Christians are paedophiles but we still call out the nonces for being nonces, not all humans are rapists but we still call rapists out for being pieces of s***. There’s extremist views for and against all religions, look at the horrible persecution of Muslims in China, and the crazy white supremacist in New Zealand, but there’s a disproportionate amount of Muslim extremists that commit terrorist acts and just because some illustrations hurt your feelings isn’t a reason to murder innocents, nor is being disgruntled with the western world and their governments, targeting innocent civilians for the actions of those in power is not only a redundant thing to do it’s just f***ing stupid and barbaric.

I don’t know, but the answer is so clearly not violent retribution
