You telling me "trained" police can't handle a group of teenagers fighting without killing someone? I get she was holding a knife but they show up and within the first five seconds of doing so they light the girl up point blank with 4-5 shots to the chest.
In many parts of the world you can find stories of police easily incapacitating people wielding knives without anyone ending up dead. But for some reason it's damn near impossible for American police to do this. F***ers are capable of bringing in whole mass shooters armed to the teeth alive, but they just can't possibly find a way to handle this situation involving some 13-16 year olds without someone ending up dead with four shots to the chest

Because she only had a butter knife (would’ve done minimal damage). She should’ve been at worst, tazed and apprehended. That’s a prime example of why we need to allocate some of the money from the police budget towards other social services. Someone could’ve talked her down if they had just isolated her from the situation for like 5 minutes.

defunding the police does not mean sending therapists to violent incidents
it means redirecting some funds from a bloated police budget to put money in the community to prevent crime from happening in the first place

1. she's holding a weapon that could take the life of someone which she also demonstrated she was willing to use this goes past her being a 15 year old with angst this turns her into an aggressor and a potential murderer
2. could they have used other tools definitely. does training need to be reviewed definitely. the states got a massive gun issue she shouldn't have been allowed in a position where she could pose another threat to the other person there was defs ways to handle this like keeping them apart or hand cuffing her etc that were failed to be done here
3. she ultimately showed intent to take someones life what happened before the police presence is pretty irrelevant when in the moment she decided to take a knife and try to murder someone in front of a armed officer instead of deescalating the situation risk here was that if the officer used a taser it might not have been efficient enough to stop the threat eg allowing her to finish taking the other unarmed girls life or turn on the officer themselves
ultimately s*** outcome for all involved and yes the police in the US definitely need to be reviewed and examined deeply and i hope that it can happen for the sake of everyone out there

It was reported she had a chefs knife. The situation could’ve been prevented if she didn’t charge at the other girl
Instantly when the cop arrived. Not sure what she was thinking. But she lost her life as a result of her poor decision making. If you know the cops are trigger happy in America why test your luck in such a idiotic way?
