just started but always think about how much she would excel with scaled back production

Not sure if this applies for you but I agree. She doesnt let the power in her voice stand out as much anymore
Textbook demoitis but her Vagabond chants aint hitting the same with the instrumental
I liked it.
The song that sounded like a bad trip was something else.
Really great!
Got a little tired of the piano on album.
Hacking Courtney was a home run.
Shake is a really exciting artist

Definitely what I mean, someone who can admirably cover a song with Liz Fraser vocals, shouldn’t be burying their own voice in production
she would kill the type of instrumentation Sharon Van etten goes over, but you can tell her ambition is to cover a lot of ground, which I respect
Some thoughts:
I think this album perfectly demonstrates how Dani has absolutely mastered the art of creating sonics that mimic psychedelic experiences. Just when you start to fall in love with a melody, rhyme scheme, or chord progression Shake shifts the sound to something completely different. None of the songs by themselves feel like complete thoughts, but as a whole this album is a cohesive experience. Reminds me so much of Led Zeppelin/Pink Floyd albums that are intended to be listened to all the way through. Like psychedelic journeys, I think set and setting is so important to being able to fully digest this as a whole. Dim the lights, burn some incense, light a couple of candles and close your eyes. Maybe take something that will assist you in achieving a higher state of consciousness.
This album is a breath of fresh air in a music landscape dominated by artists chasing trends and making music for Tik Tok. There's no one making music like Shake, and this album's commitment to "feeling" and artistic integrity makes it an absolute triumph.
9/10.
North Bergen stand up
Just listened to this with my Sony XM4 headphones….and wow this really could be her best yet.
Somehow she keeps surpassing her previous project
album f***ing SLAPS but i‘m a little sad she moved away from writing anthems like guilty conscience
guilty conscience is a top tier pop track like top 10 oat those melodies are insane
shake has a way with melodies I swear I can't stop humming some of these songs I dont even know their name I only listened to the album once
Just a LITTLE bit too experimental, but the two first listens were very great, like it!
Song To The Siren might be her best song
