    big pharma pulling up

  • probably not. the specific biology knowledge required to do that would require experimental work done by biologists. but maybe it could help a***yze the interactions between different biomarkers

maybe using some sequencing technology you could predict the protein structures the virus is comprised of and make counteracting molecules using something like alpha fold

It's going to be used to displace the workforce cause mass unemployment, elevate military capabilities and police state style surveillance as well as manipulate the minds of people especially older generations who have no context to what AI is and how to tell if it's real or not

All of that has already started.

But hey. At least it helped you write your paper so you don't ever actually learn or retain any real knowledge and don't train your brain muscles at all to be able to think critically, i guess. And funny pictures!

  • nah that'll leave big pharma bankrupt. a sad reality is corporation does not have the best interest of the people.

  • No quite the opposite.

You have a fundamental misunderstanding of capitalism. Like Mark Fisher says in Capitalist Realism, there’s no need for that type of “totalitarian” (emphasis on the quotation marks) government when people already don’t visualise life being better than the status quo

They’ll push AI as far as it keeps things running but never so far as it makes people actually rebel, just express defeatist talking points like you did with no form of solution or belief in a better way

There’s no hidden force pulling the strings, they don’t need one

AI is not a brand new never before seen force it’s just a symptom of capitalism, don’t feed into your worst desires to give up

Oh okay correct me where I made a mistake:

AI isnt being used to essentially replace actual studying for students therefore weakening their ability to think critically?

Its not being used in place of reading books or even googling and finding a traceable source?

The capitalist class aren't implementing it where otherwise a human would be employed without creating an acceptable outcome for the displaced worker?

Its not being used in police surveillance and drone tech to conduct horrific attacks?

Its not being used for propaganda slop?

I am not saying it can't be used for positive things and i do think there are medical/scientific potential to finding cures and stuff like that. But theres no incentive to cure diseases under capitalism.

For AI to be used in a positive way as a benevolent tool and not a destructive implementation the economic mode would need to change.

Maybe i just wasnt detailed or nuanced enough for you in my original post but you got me all the way f***ed up
