Been wanting to get a full sleeve done next year and I've been sitting on what I want to do as a concept for like 5-6 years at this point

One of the things I've noticed is that it seems much more common nowadays to see tattoos. Definitely not full sleeves or bodysuits, but a lot of people in my age group seem to at least have a flash tattoo or two (late 20's)

Are any of you guys planning on getting some? Do you hate tattoos and think they're corny nowadays?

I think tattoos used to be seen as rebellious and punk but now they're quite accepted and normalized. Pretty common to see people around my age with tattoos

Personally, I don't like them (for myself) and think it's cooler not to have any

i been sitting on the urge to get tattoos since I was a teen, and for the last 6 years or so, the urge to do sticknpoke style tats on myself. so a few weeks ago I just said f*** it and started tattooing myself. s***s dope.

i think they're cool, I think ppl without them are cool, it's whatever. for me it's all personal and idc what other ppl think

Dang this is a surprising thread to see in 2026. You’d probably get more strong opinions on people not getting tattoos at this point

I don't really care one way or the other
But for myself I don't see it as worth spending money on

But hey if other folk want to do it that's fine
More power to them if they want to accessorise/customise themselves into who they truly feel they are or in other cases, a new persona

Way I look at it is as someone who has gotten regrettable tattoos that had to get them covered up, you have waited long enough to truly know if you want it or not which is a good thing. I wouldn’t worry about how anyone else feels about it except for yourself. Only consideration is doing something considered “abnormal” like a face/head tattoo. It shouldn’t in theory impact you in your career but unfortunately it does. Anything you described though is kosher I have a full sleeve and rock a polo to work almost daily nobody cares

i've heard from plenty people after the first tat you stop giving a s*** and just get whatever, so i kinda just need to take the plunge some time

Everytime I have wanted a tattoo in my life the urge just goes away if I sit on it long enough. I also tend to get stuck on wanting something "meaningful" enough to have it on my body for life. I don't have a problem with em tho. Or people that are tatted up

I've had some designs I thought were cool and probably won't regret in my mind for a long time but when I had the time and money I've never had the "urge" to go get them, so idk if they're right for me

My first one was on the side neck

old me thought if he ever got any they should be meaningful, new me has a tractor, wrench, and chainsaw, but in the grand scheme they do mean a whole lot if you consider the journey from the change in personality

Waste of time and money imo but then again I haven’t found anything worth tattooing on myself

More dumb people have them than smart ones do that’s all i’ll say

I will never be dumb enough to have tattoos honestly

i change what i like every other weeks tatoos is just too crazy to have on for a lifetime and it a hassle to remove them even if you want to

Plannin on a tribal tattoo on both my upper arms last this year, maybe one going 'round the whole circumference. Haven't thought about anywhere else tho
