I'm confused by this whole next gen upgrade thing If I have a PS4 disc of TW3 and pop that in a PS5, I'm playing a PS4 version with no visual upgrades whatsoever? Even with the better hardware of the PS5? And I don't get a discount for the PS5 update?

The next-gen update is free. If you pop it in now you get more stable performance and faster load times.

When the next gen version drops, you’ll be able to play the PS5 version by inserting your PS4 discs. It’s a free upgrade.

It’s been mixed so far. Ghost of tsushima and gta 5 charged people. Cyberpunk, metro exodus, resident evil 2,3,7 was all free

you’ll just get it automatically, it appears in your library usually (at least for cyberpunk it did)

probably my favorite game of all time. don’t really need this tho. would prefer they focused on Witcher 4 and turning Cyberpunk into the game that was promised.

They probably have a small team on this and like 600 people working on Witcher 4, and a few hundred finishing up the first and only cyberpunk expansion

I wouldn't expect more than 60fps, resolution bump and load times. They've been in shambles since Cyberpunk released
