  • Everybody's on their cellphone, including me. It's like most people spend like 90% of their time planning on the phone and the other 10% actually executing their plans and living life. More people are watching videos about traveling than actually traveling. And sadly, more people are watching p*** than actually having sex. S*** like that. Don't get me wrong. I'm thankful for technology and grateful for the pros, but sometimes simple is better. How the heck do you have these dating apps where you can literally see hundreds of females within a 50 mile radius, but all these dudes are struggling with scoring??? Because naturally and philosophically speaking, it wasn't meant for men to approach women on a damn phone. We're meant to connect and interact with them socially. To be honest, I think cell phones, TVs, AI, computers, etc. all need to be banned. People will start to go back to normal, including me.

yeah in a city it's wild to see how many people walk around with their heads down scrolling or texting. life is not in the box in your hands

i think social media is the real issue, because early iphone days it wasn't like this. sure phone addiction could happen with gaming or gambling apps, but most of the time its ig and tiktok that have people glued to their phones

    speak for yourself

    I luv my tech

My car driving for me as I type this, this s*** magical (no it’s not a Tesla relax)

  • Everything is fine except for ai data centers social media and cellphones

  • ppl forget these devices and apps are intended as tools not hobby things to spend your free time scrolling, you have to be intentional with your usage

  • But it increased shareholder value

  • People never traveled much to begin with, in fact traveling is at its most high

Rest sounds like a skill/personal issue - plenty of people are still doing things and people are still outside

This hasn’t been the case for over a decade and any new innovation on a consumer level are just creature comforts designed to keep you on them

  • Not if you living like this op

    what brand?

  • the dating app issue is partly due to a lack of "third spaces" that used to exist more back in the day.

i remember watching a video essay about it.
but yeah i rely on "stay focused" app and ask it to lock me out for an hour a few times a day so i can enjoy guitar or chores or whatever

it only lets me use emergency/essential apps and spotify

i actually partially agree with banning cell phones, but tbh i think the honest answer is just banning social media
