Letterboxd’s owners have held early talks with a number of potential buyers — including Netflix, according to an unconfirmed report by Puck. Others reportedly looking at Letterboxd include Sony Pictures Entertainment, David Ellison’s Paramount Skydance (and RedBird Capital Partners, a key Paramount financial backer) and private-equity giant TPG.

Thank you man, this made my day!
To do what with it??
Data collection and stripping for parts, same as any other private equity acquisition

Anyone but Paramount
Tragedy
And shouldn’t Paramount back off on buying s***
They’re already going to be in a s*** tom of debt after Warner Bros
To do what with it??

scrape user data to feed their Netflix AI scriptwriters and algorithm to recommend movie elitists more s*** they don’t need to watch

Yeah Letterboxd is for film lovers and Netflix has done more harm to the film industry than any other company over the last ~decade by far. It's hard to imagine this being anything more than pure data collection
