Super creative, amazing producer, utterly groundbreaking stuff. All of it still sounds ahead of its time were it to be released today and was absolutely stultifying when it all originally dropped. Her recent stuff isn't as good as her 2005-2013 run but it's also pretty solid all the same. Should be in the GOAT artist convo tbh

Edit: Jesus Is King and Donda 2 are both worse than anything M.I.A. has made as well

Ye had nonstop classics from 2004-2018 if we count KSG but Donda 2 is by a huge margin the worst project between the two lol. It's genuinely in the same category as Revival

JIK is just kinda mid but pleasant to listen to overall, Donda 2 legitimately one of the worst pieces of music ever made. Donda 1 great though

I literally just said M.I.A. and Kanye are equally consistent but the latter has higher highs. Y'all can't just pretend Jesus Is King and especially Donda 2 don't exist.

Most people agree that her third albums was when she began to fall off (I disagree since I actually like that album) so she definitely can’t be considered as consistent as Ye

tbh MAYA has experienced a huge resurgence in critical reappraisal for its influence on PC Music/Deconstructed Club stuff. It's her second best album imo.
