Today I had to say goodbye to my first ever cat, she was with me for 12 years, I adopted her in Spain and brought her with me back in Eastern Europe.
She lived her best life, she was full of it, full of love and energy, she was there always to greet me when I arrived home. My favorite grumpy feline.

I am just devastated that I was not there with her in her last moments, only my mom was.

ktt brothers, go hug your pets, go spend more time with them, and give them lots of treats, I just seen her last Saturday, never expected her to go right on my mom's birthday

they really don't, you see them getting old and unconsciously think 'this might be their last year' but then you try to convince yourself they will stay with you for more years, it's never a good time, I'm only grateful I didn't get to see her struggle with the years, and stress her out with emergency vet visits
