I did watch the first 2 episodes, it's pretty meh. It's just Curb humor in important historical moments and it's skits only too. The thing is that the Curb humor works because of the chemistry between the actors, and pay-offs from earlier part of the episodes or even earlier episodes in some cases.
The short 10 min skits with new characters each time is like the complete opposite of it.

It still works. Last few seasons are a bit shaky but that's true for 99% of sitcoms.
