Having huge hits together in the past this looked like a sure thing.

Didn’t top any charts, is now only certified gold. The only single Apeshit went absolutely nowhere.

Average reviews. Not a single song mentioned on it since then.

guess people moved on from the drama

Mid album by two legacy artists that dropped right in the middle of the Kanye/GOOD Music run and a Summer that was dominated by Drake.

No real hits

Should have been more of a thing where they just put a bunch of hard ass solo songs on there and then collabed for like 3 actual songs

Two artists who have a catalogue that beats 90% of artists one versuz come together to drop an album that was just ok

The drama itself wasn’t s*** either lmao

It isn't a good album, Bey-Z wasn't as much of a big deal in 2018, and I think it was more of a project for them to heal as a couple than for the public

They got like 10 songs together already it really wasn’t going to be anything earth-shattering. I mean s*** Drunk in Love era probably was the time to do it and this was years after that

Yeah like if the album was stacked with some of their best material and it didn't blow up, that would be kinda shocking, but it was just a good album, nothing special

I think they have better chemistry as sporadic guests on each other's respective projects in their own worlds vs a whole collab album together

there was a lot of talk about 'Beyonce & Jay-Z' oversaturation going on in the social media sphere at the time iirc
