I always wanted Joe to win, he is one of my favorite rappers. And he consistently fumbling bags like Slaughterhouse and Shady deal, when you think he is almost there, he self destructs.

I'm glad he found his lane even tho it wasn't rapping. He deserved it after a grueling come up.

Same way Rogan did. By doing it first. Budden had internet warriors before Spotify existed.

rogan had a great mix of all kinds of guests and was an excellent host before going looney around 2019 or so it wasn't just him being early

Actually kind of crazy that he stayed afloat after the Rory and Mal thing and then not only stayed afloat but turned it into something bigger, Rory and Mal also deserve credit for carving out their own vibe with their pod too. Crazy how fast time has gone by since the late 2010’s

I remember it was rare they had a guest now it seems like its apart of people’s rollouts

Him and Adam Corolla were podcasting in the 00s when it was RSS feeds. Now a lot of stand ups make more money doing podcasts than shows. Or at least they did, I think that bubble popped.

It was definitely before 2019. Probably closer to the UFC Rebook deal in 2013. It's like Kanye where it just took forever for people to admit it.

spotify deal definitely pumped money into the pod and he doubled down on an older demo once rory and mal left plus it was always "Joe Budden Podcast" not the JBP with rory and mal

idk the point where i remember joe losing was when he was going on about how jon jones only failed the d*** test bc jones snorted coke cut with creatine and the creatine was contaminated with steroids

i wasn't listening to him in 2013 but 2014-17 i listened to him a lot after cudi was on the show and liked the different stuff about fitness and random ass people on now he's in texas and can barely get guests unless they're right win weirdos

yeah regardless of what u think of his opinons or whatever, hes an excellent conversationalist.

also i feel like the podcast is just a comedian talking to random people. it was never meant to be somewhere to get your like idk information

its the podcast equivalent of talking to some dude in a comedy club at 1am

I'm including his commentary work for the UFC. He hasn't been good at that in like 15 years if he ever eas. Was never a good standup comedian. Was a fun host on Fear Factor.

By the time you hit Trump 1 it's clear he's a reactionary idiot who makes anyone who listens to him dumber

yeah that's why i loved it and he was great at making his guests comfortable and letting them talk about themselves and it was pretty unserious now it's a whole big thing and it's not the same

always terrible comedian and he was good at UFC commentary up until like 2019 or so when every new champ was the GOAT and he had to let everyone know he thinks romero beat whittakher

the bigger issue with UFC commentary is DC and dom cruz if it was still him and goldie or like bas rutten or brian stann along with anik rogan would be better but DC is s*** head and cruz is annoying
