idk about others but I don't really feel compelled to play every major release. I just pick and choose and slide something from my backlog in between

And people still say there's nothing to play. Pick any of the major platforms and you'll have legitimately a lifetime of games, old and new. I simply cant believe there's people who have played every single game they'd potentially be interested in.

I just recently got into the sega genesis/mega drive library after snobbing it my whole life through a collection of like 30 games i was gifted, and thats only the must play titles from a 30 year old console.

I still have to play a single game released this year despite being interested in 10 of them and thats because im still going through my backlog.

Getting PS Plus f***ed my whole s*** up even more. Now I'm playing games available for free on Plus to take advantage of the membership because I might not renew and the rest of my backlog is just sitting there

Every single game studio on earth could go on a 20 year hiatus and by the time thats over i'll probably still have games i didnt get to check out, its insane.

My suggestion to anyone who despite all these new releases hasnt found anything to play is to just go back in time and find something from the previous gens that piques their interest and just play it, especially if its easy to emulate games, as to avoid paying for taking a risk.
