JONATHAN MAJORS DYNASTY
This movie was f***in wild. Got damn this nigga Majors can act his ass off. S*** was terrifying and heartbreaking at the same time.
Second half does lose its steam a little tho.
Early contender for top 10 of 2023.

Yeah that was the films problem, it had an “ending” a few times but then would continue going.
how does this film look visually? like what films would say it looks similar to?

I'd say maybe whiplash. It's a dark film bro. Like whiplash/black swan meets taxi driver/joker

That’s a crazy mix. Those sigma pages especially are gonna love this movie lmao
Literally nothing good happens to the character, even when a small hopeful opportunity happens it soon gets f\*\*\*ed up due to this characters struggles with mental health issues and not being able to connect with humans that might be exhausting for some to watch for 2 hours.
I like movies like this where all the plot points in the film stems from the main characters actions. There isn't an outside force that out of nowhere does something to him, everything is a reaction to his actions.

I feel like this plus The Whale would be good back-to-back watches

Get the Lexapro on deck. 💯 But yeah, definitely really enjoyed Magazine Dreams. Saw myself in his character a bit, well up until the restaurant scene and much of what followed afterwards yeesh
