I feel like if they were to fake it, it wouldn't look like that. I think there'd be fake blood involved, bulletproof vests, compromised close ranged shooters who just "happened" to sneak a gun into the rally. Probably wouldn't have gotten the fight fight thing, but they'd get more use out of a fake ass hospital bed truth social post than they did with his ear getting clipped.
