Just a few of the more popular examples. There are hundreds of mashups being worked on with pretty much any game you can think of. Feels like a huge shift for the industry, barely seeing any talk about it

Decompilation space is moving at lightspeed too now it’s insane

Decompilations cool. Ai modded combined game slop is lame

Can’t imagine anyone is playing the mashups for more than 15 minutes. They won’t stick around once the novelty wears off. Just really cool to see what’s possible

I think this is moreso the expression of fantastical ideas that function as proof of concept

As a kid, being able to visit Peach’s Castle from SM64 in Mario Kart 64 always made me wish that you could get out of your Kart and interact with different places around the world.

Like what if it was like a racing franchise style game, where you travel through the Mario world by foot and by kart to get to these different races? There would be out-of-kart content that happens between races but it’s all kind of woven together into one story.
