nah i played it the way it was

it really isnt that bad per say, it weirdly kinda feels like a rhythm game because you have to time your attacks but it will start to get annoying since the game is like 30-40 hours and that's all you'll be doing all game

the story and characters are so good it kinda made worth the struggle lol
